DEVELOPMENT FOR 7-8M BABY

THE BABY'S STRANGER ANXIETY

During this stage, baby’s stranger anxiety will reach its max. Babies first get anxious about strangers around 6 months, and this will grow even more when baby is 7-8 months old. Babies will cry or cling to mommies even with just a sight of the stranger. This is a very natural phase, and an indication that they have a well-developed attachment with Mom. When the attachment is stably formed, babies will gradually become more comfortable with other people. Try the peekaboo game frequently, that will teach baby that Mommy will be there, even when she disappears momentarily.
